This is a delicate, moderately moist, aromatic cake! The subtle aroma of cinnamon and apple baked goods will be a great start to the day!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Separate the whites from the yolks. Combine soft butter with sugar and beat, adding yolk one at a time while beating.
  2. Add sour cream to the resulting mass, mix.
  3. Pour in sifted flour mixed with baking powder, mix.
  4. Beat egg whites with vanilla sugar until strong peaks. Gently but confidently mix the whipped egg whites into the dough.
  5. Peel the apples, cut into thin slices. Seasonal Antonovka apples are preferable.
  6. Spread the apples over the entire surface of the pie (packing density according to your taste - the more apples, the wetter the pie).
  7. Mix brown sugar with cinnamon, sprinkle over the cake. Place the cake in an oven preheated to 180 * C. Bake for about 50 minutes. (before testing for a dry splinter).
