Apple pies can be baked regardless of the season - because apples are on store shelves all year round. However, in autumn, when the fruit is the freshest, juiciest and sweetest, such pastries are quite successful. Bon appetit!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pre-cool the butter well in the refrigerator - this is an important point to make shortcrust pastry. It should be firm but not frozen.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and baking powder. Crush the butter into small pieces. With your hands, grind the mass into an oil crumb. Make sure all the pieces of butter are mixed with the flour.
  3. Mix cheese with eggs, sour cream, vanilla, and sugar. Rub the mass with a fork if you want the pieces of cheese in the dessert, or beat with a blender if you prefer a homogeneous filling.
  4. Peel the apples and grate on a large grater. Pour the cheese mixture into the grated fruit and mix.
  5. Grease a baking dish with butter or cover it with parchment. Put half of the butter crumbs on the bottom, compact. Next, lay out the cheese filling, flatten and seal slightly. Sprinkle the rest of the butter crumbs on top. If you want to bake an open apple pie, take the same recipe, but use all the crumbs in the first layer base.
  6. Bake in a preheated 190-degree oven for 50 minutes. Allow the cheesecake to cool before serving - this will make the texture denser and the portions will hold their shape better.
