Some ancient dishes are not only not cooked today, but many have not even heard of them. For example, a festive Slavic dish called apple. This, despite the strange name, is a casserole of potatoes, minced meat and mushrooms. Our ancestors knew a lot about food and loved a good table, and this recipe for potato casserole is proof of that!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, rinse and cut into several pieces. Boil the potatoes in a saucepan over low heat until tender, for 20 minutes, then drain the water.

  7. Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with ground breadcrumbs.
  8. Put half of the potatoes in the first layer, flatten the layer with a spoon.
