Bobele is a hearty Israeli dish, potato casserole, or rather, yeast potato pie. This pie is made from raw potatoes, with fried onions. An interesting recipe, bobele turns out to be very unusual in taste.

  1. Yeast can be taken both fresh and dry, this, in principle, will not affect the taste of potato pie.
  2. Prepare the dough. Add sugar, a tablespoon of flour and yeast to warm (about 37 degrees) water, mix.
  3. While the dough is coming up, prepare the potatoes. Peel and grate the potatoes on a coarse grater.
  4. Add 0.5 tsp of salt, eggs, 1.5 tbsp to the dough. tablespoons of vegetable oil. Add flour. And send the grated potatoes here.
  5. Stir the potato dough with a spoon. It should be similar in consistency to pancake dough.

  9. Bake potato pie with onions in a preheated oven at 160-170 degrees for about 40-45 minutes.
  10. Hot bobele is like a potato casserole. The cooled bobele is more like a potato pie and is very well cut into pieces.
