Did you know that Bologna, a city in northern Italy, is a real gastronomic capital? It is not surprising that it was in this Italian city that this delicious cake of the same name was born. This pie is made on the basis of polenta - very finely ground corn flour, apples, raisins, figs ... The taste is unusual, and the pie itself is dense and very fragrant

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine polenta, flour, sugar and bread crumbs. You need to take polenta as finely ground as possible, bread crumbs from dried bread (you can use bread crumbs without additives).
  2. In another bowl, combine the liquid ingredients: milk, eggs, honey and olive oil. Stir with a whisk.
  3. Peel the apples, cut into cubes, wash and cut the figs, wash and dry the raisins. Add dried fruits, apples, orange and lemon zest and cinnamon to the dough.
  4. Stir the dough with spatula.
  5. Pour the dough into a baking dish (20-22 cm) and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about an hour. Check for readiness with a dry toothpick test (it may take a little more or a little less time). If suddenly the pie began to burn on top, but was not baked inside, cover it with foil and bake until tender.
  6. Cool the finished pie, cut and serve.
