There are at least a million cabbage pie recipes. And your family may have your own version. But pay special attention to this one, please. One little detail - smoked bacon - and the taste changes completely. Do not stew young cabbage, it is tender and does not require long cooking.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the dough. Dissolve yeast and sugar in 0.5 cups of warm water in a large bowl. Leave on for 10-15 minutes, until the mixture foams. Sift flour and salt into a bowl, add oil and mix well. Cover and leave for 1 hour. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Rinse the cabbage, shake and cut into thin strips, removing the stalk. Peel and chop the onion. Wash the dill, dry it and chop finely. Cut the bacon into small pieces.
  2. Heat the oil in a saucepan, fry the bacon, 4-5 minutes. Add onion and cook for 5 minutes. Add cabbage, stir and remove immediately from heat. Sprinkle with dill and season with ground pepper.
  3. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Roll out 2/3 of the dough onto a floured surface into a thin layer. Put in the form.
  4. Spread the cabbage filling in an even layer on top.
  5. Roll out the remaining dough. Place on the filling and pin the edges together. Let stand for 20 minutes.
  6. Brush the cake with a lightly beaten egg. Make a hole in the center and insert a baking paper tube to release the steam. Put in an oven preheated to 200 ° C for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 180 ° C and bake for another 25 minutes. Leave it under a towel for 15–20 minutes before serving.
