Chocolate biscotti with chocolate, almonds and pine nuts

These biscotti are prepared without the addition of butter, so they turn out to be hard croutons, which are very tasty to soak in a cup of coffee. Delicious and aromatic.

  4. Peel almonds for biscotti
  5. To peel the almonds, pour boiling water over it, let it stand for five minutes, drain the water. Then pour boiling water over again, wait five minutes, drain the water. After this procedure, the skin is easily removed, you just need to press lightly on the nuts with two fingers.
  6. Fry and chop almonds for biscotti
  7. Dry the almonds with a paper towel and lightly fry in a skillet without oil until golden brown. Stir all the time. Then cut into circles and set aside.
  8. Beat the egg, sugar and vanilla sugar very well. Until white foam appears.
  9. Sift flour, cinnamon and baking powder into a separate bowl and stir.
  10. Mix dough to make biscotti
  11. Sift the cinnamon and baking powder again into the egg mixture. Mix everything carefully and thoroughly with a spatula. The dough turns out to be dense, but rather fluffy.
  12. Add nuts and chocolate to the biscotti dough
  13. Stir in the nuts and chopped chocolate into the dough.
  14. Divide the dough, place on a baking sheet and bake the biscotti until tender.
  15. Tip the dough onto a floured surface. Form two sausages, 3-4 cm in diameter. Place on a prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown. I bake top-bottom, no fan.
  16. Slice baked goods 1-1.5 cm thick, then bake the biscotti for another 6 minutes
  17. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let cool for five minutes. Do not turn off the oven. Transfer the "sausages" to a cutting board and cut them diagonally into 1 - 1.5 cm thick pieces. Transfer these pieces back to a baking sheet and set for 6 minutes. into the oven. Then turn them over and bake for another 6 minutes.
