Chocolate cake with sour cream (in a pan)

Cake layers are baked not in the oven, but in a pan, which speeds up their preparation. And the cream is just sour cream whipped with sugar. We decorate the cake with what is at hand - banana slices, for example. Despite the simplicity of the recipe, a wonderful chocolate cake is worthy of a festive table!

  1. Mix the sifted wheat flour, cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, baking soda and baking powder in a deep bowl.
  2. Pour vegetable oil, milk into a bowl with dry ingredients and beat in eggs. Mix everything.
  3. Pour boiling water into the bowl with the dough and mix everything again.
  4. The consistency of the dough is a little thicker than for pancakes. It drips off the spatula in a thin stream.
  5. Lubricate the pan with vegetable oil, heat it up and pour a full ladleful of dough onto it.
  6. Bake the cake, covering the pan with a lid, 2-3 minutes. Then turn the cake over and continue baking for 1 more minute.
  7. I used a frying pan with a diameter of 18 cm and I got 7 cakes.
  8. In order for the edges to be even and the cake to be beautiful, cut the edges of the cakes according to the template (this can be a round plate or a culinary ring of a smaller diameter).
  9. The diameter of my cardboard template is 16 cm.
  10. Don't throw away the cuttings. And don't eat. :) We will decorate the cake with them.
  11. For cream, combine high-fat sour cream (from 21% and above) and sugar in a deep bowl.
  12. Beat sour cream with sugar with a blender whisk until fluffy, first at low speed, then at the highest speed, for 7-8 minutes.
  13. Spread each cake with cream (2 tablespoons per cake) and lay one on one. I left one cake for crumbs.
  14. Spread the sides of the cake with cream using a spatula.
  15. Grind the cake scraps in a blender into crumbs and sprinkle them on the sides and top of the cake. Peel the banana and cut into thin slices. Lay the banana slices on top of the cake overlapping each other in a circle. Place basil or mint leaves in the center.
  16. Put the chocolate cake with sour cream in the refrigerator to soak for at least 2-3 hours.
  17. Great pan cake! Beautiful, delicious, so simple and quick that you will definitely cook it again and again.
  18. To decorate such a cake, if desired, you can use melted white chocolate or fresh berries, such as raspberries, currants or strawberries.
