The composition of the classic green nut jam includes only the fruit itself, sugar, and water. If you do not take into account the previous soaking, the cooking process differs from the usual only in that after the previous five minutes of boiling the water must be drained.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Soak unripe walnuts in a lime solution. Then rinse them thoroughly, put them in a saucepan of appropriate capacity, and send them on fire.
  2. After boiling, cook the nuts for five minutes and remove them from heat. Allow them to infuse for 2-3 hours, and drain the water. Fill the raw material with fresh water and repeat the procedure with a five-minute boil and tincture.
  3. In a dry clean pan, pour sugar, pour water, and bring the syrup to a boil. After the second boil, catch the nuts with a skimmer and transfer them to a syrup.
  4. Next, cook the jam for 2.5 - 3 hours, without changing the intensity of the fire.
