Corn grits contain many beneficial micronutrients. But the main thing is that baking with it turns out to be remarkably tasty. Charlotte of corn grits with plums is perfect for autumn tea.

  1. Combine corn grits, flour, sugar (1 cup) and baking soda in a bowl.
  2. Add vegetable oil and rub into the dry mixture.
  3. Pour in yogurt or kefir and stir. You will get a thick dough.
  4. Cover the bowl with the dough and let it sit for an hour and a half to two hours. During this time, the cereal will swell, making the dough soft and tender.
  5. Cut the plums into halves or quarters. Add them to the dough and stir.
  6. Grease a baking dish and pour the dough into it. You can decorate the top with plum halves.
  7. Sprinkle the charlotte with sugar (1 tablespoon).
  8. Preheat oven to 220 degrees.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the charlotte is lightly browned.
  10. Serve with tea.
