A great option for a healthy snack on the run. Prepare your bars ahead of time, and then just remember to put them in your bag when you go to work. This amount, as indicated in the recipe, is enough for you for a week. After all, dried fruits and rolled oats are very nutritious - it is enough to eat very little to recharge your batteries.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Remove pits from dates. If the dates are tough, pour 2/3 cup hot water over them and let sit for 30 minutes. If soft - 1/2 cup for 10 minutes.
  2. Pour the raisins and dried apricots separately with hot water and leave for 10 minutes. Then drain the water, dry the dried fruits.
  3. Put the dates and liquid in a blender, add honey and grind into a paste, transfer to a heavy-bottomed saucepan, add apple juice and cinnamon, bring to a boil and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  4. Put the oatmeal in an even layer on a baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated to 170 ° C until golden brown, 10-12 minutes.
  5. Finely chop nuts, peaches and dried apricots, mix with cereals, add raisins and cherries.
  6. Add the date paste to the oat-nut mixture and mix thoroughly.
  7. Put the resulting mixture on a baking sheet covered with oiled parchment, smooth with a wet knife or spatula and cover with parchment on top too. Bake in an oven preheated to 170 ° C for 30 minutes.
  8. Let cool slightly, 10 minutes, and cut into about 30 pieces. Let them cool completely, 30 minutes, and wrap each in plastic, parchment or foil.
