Kefir dumplings, fortunately, are good even for inexperienced housewives. The dough in them is tender and soft, and when cooked does not stick. Compared to traditional ones, kefir dumplings are made large - half the size of a palm, but if you still prefer small ones, it is not forbidden.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Dissolve salt and soda in kefir or homemade yogurt. Then add the egg and stir well.
  2. Next, gradually adding flour, knead a stiff (but not too much) dough. Spread the mass on the table (do not forget to pre-sprinkle the surface with flour), remember a little, but do not mix too much. You can start cooking. When rolling, sprinkle layers of dough with flour or put the container with the dough in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes - after this procedure, it will stick much less to your hands.
  3. Sculpt dumplings: cut a small piece of the total mass of dough and roll out the sausage, which is cut into pieces of medium size (thickness of the dough - 1.5 cm, diameter - 5 cm).
  4. Roll each piece into a pancake (if necessary, you can again dust the dough with flour). Cut the strawberries for the filling into several pieces, sprinkle with sugar and add a pinch of starch - this will not allow the juice to drain. Connect the edges and, alternately pressing the thumb and forefinger, braid a braid along the edge of the dumpling (if this form of closing the dumpling is difficult for you, do it as you can).
  5. Boil the dumplings in boiling water, preferably in a wide diameter pan. After the dumplings pop up, cook them for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Dumplings are best served with sour cream, but there are options for sweets - with condensed milk or sour cream mixed with berry syrup.
