This recipe for stuffed potatoes is quite worthy of a festive table. Stuffed potatoes turn out to be very attractive and tasty.

  1. Peel large oval potatoes, wash with cold water, cut in half and carefully, with a thin knife, cut out the middle.
  2. In this way, process all the halves of the potatoes.
  3. Grate or chop the cut potato tubers in a blender.
  4. Mix the minced meat with the potato mass obtained by removing the center of the tubers and chopped with a blender.
  5. Add egg, salt and pepper.
  6. Mix.
  7. You can add mushrooms, fried onions, carrots, bacon, etc. to the filling if you wish.
  8. Stuff the halves of the potatoes with the minced meat.
  9. Place the stuffed potatoes tightly in a saucepan or cast iron duck to prevent them from tipping over.
  10. If all the potatoes cannot be laid out in one layer, then you can lay out the second layer, but not tightly so that the potatoes are evenly steamed.
  11. Add water or broth to the bowl, but so that the potatoes, which are lined with the bottom layer, are not covered with water on top. Simmer the stuffed potatoes until half cooked, for 20 minutes under a closed lid over medium heat. Do not stir the dish.
  12. After 20 minutes, pour the stuffed potatoes with sour cream or mayonnaise. Cook for about 10 more minutes.
  13. Rinse the dill greens thoroughly under running cold water, dry and chop finely.
  14. Sprinkle the prepared stuffed potatoes with chopped herbs on top.
  15. Serve hot festive potatoes.
