Fried tender shrimp meat will not leave you indifferent. A wonderful balanced dish that takes just a few minutes to cook. Healthy and very tasty, a great option for a snack or light dinner.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Thaw the king prawns at room temperature, peel them (remove the chitinous shell, heads and tails).
  2. Rinse the shrimp well, make an incision on the back of each shrimp and remove the vena cava.
  3. Peel the garlic and chop finely.
  4. Peel and chop the onion as finely as possible. You can use onions, white or shallots.
  5. Add vegetable oil and butter to the pan. Send garlic and onions there too. Also, don't forget about herbs. You can use any of them according to your own preferences. It goes very well with shrimp dill (dill umbrellas), rosemary or thyme.
  6. Put the pan on the fire, simmer the onions and garlic over medium heat, stirring constantly. When they become slightly transparent, turn the fire to maximum.
  7. Immediately add the shrimp and soy sauce to the pan. You can use a small pinch of salt instead of soy sauce.
  8. With constant stirring, fry the shrimp over high heat until the soy sauce has evaporated. The shrimp should turn red and curl up. Drizzle with lemon or lime juice and stir. The main thing in this step is to remove the shrimp from the pan in time, since if you overdo it a little, then the shrimp meat will become rubbery and tough.
  9. Remove the finished shrimp from the pan, place in a plate, sprinkle with lemon or lime juice on top again. Sprinkle with allspice if desired. Garnish with a citrus wedge and herbs.
