Ingredients

Directions

  1. Powdered green tea (matcha) is often used to make Japanese-style sweets. Surprise your family and friends with these unusual bright green cookies with a slightly bitter exotic flavor. 1. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until fluffy white. Add 1/2 beaten egg and beat the dough well. Sift the flour along with the matcha and gently stir this mixture into the dough (if you are using kokeicha tea, stir the soaked tea into the dough along with the egg). Cover the bowl with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes to ripen. 2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm. and cut into cookies of any shape. 3. Bake the cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet for about 15 minutes. Bon Appetit!
