Delicious and hearty Irish potato pancakes will surely appeal to those who cannot live without potato dishes! Irish potato pancakes made from raw and boiled potatoes are quick and easy to prepare, and there are plenty of them for everyone.

  1. Peel the potatoes, rinse in water. Cut half into thin slices, place in a saucepan or stewpan. Cover with hot water and boil for 15 minutes. Then drain the water.
  2. Pour in warm milk and mash with a crush.
  3. Grate the remaining half of the potatoes on a coarse grater. Leave for 3-5 minutes and then squeeze out the resulting liquid.
  4. Combine both sides of the potato in a deep bowl. Beat in an egg.
  5. Peel and grate a small onion. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Mix everything thoroughly.
  6. Add the sifted flour and stir the potato mass again.
  7. Heat both types of oil in a frying pan, put the potato mass with a tablespoon. Fry the potato pancakes for 1-2 minutes on each side on medium heat until golden brown.
  8. Spread the fried Irish potato pancakes on a paper towel to remove excess fat.
  9. Serve the cooked boxes hot with sour cream.
