A great snack for holidays and weekdays! Korean style marinated calamari with carrots is easy and simple to cook. It turns out a very tasty salad, suitable for serving on a festive table. A good recipe for your first acquaintance with this seafood! And even more so for the second!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. How to marinate squid in Korean? Prepare the ingredients you want. Wash the carrots well, peel. Peel and wash onions. Defrost the squids and immerse them in boiling salted water for 30 seconds.
  2. Remove the squids from the water, dry and cut into strips.
  3. Cut the onions into thin rings. To avoid watery eyes, periodically moisten the knife with cold water.
  4. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil on the stove. Saute the onions with sesame seeds for one minute. Remove the pan from the stove. Take out the onion and sesame seeds so as not to scoop up a lot of oil. You can add dried coriander to the roast to reveal all its flavors. I didn't.
  5. Grate the carrots on a special grater or cut into strips. The thinner and smoother it is, the better. You can take ready-made Korean carrots.
  6. Combine squid, carrot and onion in a bowl. Add sugar, salt, coriander and vinegar. Stir.
  7. Put the squid with carrots in the refrigerator and marinate for 4 hours. Sprinkle the finished appetizer with chopped parsley and serve.
  8. I love these squids very much. I constantly bought them in our store. This is no longer necessary. Indeed, at home, such squids are both tastier and cheaper.
  9. When cooking squid, it is very important not to overexpose them in boiling water, otherwise they will be rubbery and tasteless. It is enough to dip the carcasses in boiling water for 30 seconds. This will keep them soft, firm and able to absorb the marinade.
  10. To prevent irritation of the mucous membranes of the eyes when slicing onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion odor if you rub it with a slice of lemon before cutting.
  11. Root vegetables are best washed with a brush or hard sponge under running water.
  12. Vinegar in recipes, unless otherwise indicated by the author, is added by default at a concentration of 9%.
