Our ancestors cooked kutya in the oven. I will cook this festive dish the way my grandmother taught, but instead of the oven, I will bake it in the oven.

  1. Soak the wheat in water for several hours, then rinse and put it in a pot.
  2. Add dried fruits, nuts, cover with water and cook for about an hour in the oven. Test the readiness to taste.
  3. Fill the poppy with boiling water for 15 minutes, then drain the water.
  4. Then add some cold water and mix well.
  5. Strain the resulting "poppy milk" through the canvas and add it to the finished kutya. Chill and serve.
