Lavash rolls with ham and mashed potatoes

Delicious pita rolls with ham and mashed potatoes are very easy to prepare. These rolls are a great hearty breakfast, lunch or picnic snack.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cooking mashed potatoes. Optionally, you can use mashed potatoes prepared in advance or left over from a previous meal.
  2. Peel the potatoes, cut into small pieces and send them to the pan. Fill the potatoes with water, salt and set on medium heat. Cook the potatoes for about 20-25 minutes after boiling, until tender and soft.
  3. Drain the water from the finished potatoes. Thoroughly knead the potatoes with a crush, pour in the milk and mix. Optionally, you can add 1-2 tbsp. tablespoons of butter.
  4. We prepare the rest of the ingredients.
  5. My greens are frozen, already chopped. If you have fresh herbs, rinse, pat dry and finely chop.
  6. Put mashed potatoes on a sheet of pita bread and distribute it over the entire surface.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped herbs on top.
  8. Rub the cheese on a coarse grater.
  9. Put thin slices of ham on the edge of the pita bread. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
  10. Roll the pita bread into a roll and cut into slices about 2 cm thick.
  11. If desired, the rolls can be eaten now without frying.
  12. Beat the eggs with a fork in a bowl. Salt and pepper to taste.
  13. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Dip each piece of pita bread in an egg, put it in a pan and fry over medium heat for about 2 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  14. If desired, the fried rolls can be laid out on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  15. Lavash rolls with ham and mashed potatoes are ready. You can serve them to the table both warm and cold.
