I love these pies - made from yeast dough with potato broth, stuffed with mashed potatoes with fried mushrooms and onions. Simple, lean, tasty and very satisfying.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, wash, cut into pieces, put in a saucepan, cover with cold water, put on fire, bring to a boil, cook over low heat under a lid until tender (about 20 minutes).
  2. Peel the onion, wash, chop finely.
  3. Wash the mushrooms, chop finely.
  4. Preheat a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil. Put onion and mushrooms in hot oil. Fry over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Drain the broth from the finished potatoes (it will come in handy). Mash potatoes with a puree press, add fried mushrooms with onions, salt and pepper. Mix well. The filling is ready.
  6. Pour warm potato broth into a bowl. Dissolve dry yeast in the broth. Add salt, sugar and vegetable oil. Mix. Sift flour into a bowl.
  7. First mix everything with a spoon.
  8. Then knead a soft dough with your hands.
  9. Put the dough in a bowl, cover with a towel, put on a saucepan with warm water for 40-50 minutes. The dough came up.
  10. Turn on the oven.
  11. Divide the dough into pieces, make koloboks (the size of a chicken egg). Roll each bun into a circle. Put the filling on each circle (2 teaspoons).
  12. Pinch the edges with your fingers to form a patty. So mold all the pies.
  13. Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil. Put the pies on a baking sheet (leave a space between them, the pies will still work). Leave the pies for 15 minutes in a warm place (let them fit). Then grease the pies with vegetable oil or strong sweet tea.
  14. Place a baking sheet with pies in the oven on the middle shelf. Bake lean pies with potatoes and mushrooms at 200 degrees for about 20-25 minutes (until golden).
  15. Lenten baked pies with potatoes and mushrooms are ready!
  16. Lean baked pies with potatoes and mushrooms can be served.
  17. Bon Appetit!
