Mashed potatoes with bacon and cheddar cheese

Mashed potatoes are perhaps a unique side dish - they can be served with absolutely any main course. In this case, the neutral taste of mashed potatoes takes on special notes thanks to the garlic, cheese and bacon.

  1. Cut the potatoes and boil them in salted water (20-25 minutes).
  2. Make longitudinal cuts on the cloves of unpeeled garlic.
  3. Grease the foil with olive oil.
  4. Put the garlic on the foil, add thyme on top.
  5. Wrap the garlic and thyme in foil. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
  6. Mash boiled potatoes in mashed potatoes.
  7. Peel the soft baked garlic and add to the puree.
  8. Melt the butter, add to the puree.
  9. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
  10. Add cream.
  11. Stir until smooth.
  12. Transfer the puree to a baking dish. Flatten.
  13. Finely chop the bacon.
  14. Preheat a frying pan, put the bacon on it.
  15. Fry the bacon, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
  16. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
  17. Spread the fried bacon evenly on the puree.
  18. Sprinkle cheese on top.
  19. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
