Do you want vegetables and meat baked in a pot? No problem.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the meat into walnut-sized pieces. Salt, pepper and leave to marinate a little. It is better that the meat is not completely lean, but with fat.
  2. Cut the potatoes into eighths, and the pineapple rings (I had canned ones) into quarters. That's it, we don't cut anything else.
  3. Sprinkle the chopped potatoes with olive oil. Salt, mix and place in pots.
  4. Put the meat on the potatoes, seasoning it with cumin pounded between the fingers.
  5. Add to each pot a few pieces of pineapple, prunes and a whole clove of garlic. You can also add hot green or red peppers, cut into rings or half rings.
  6. On the very top, put a couple of parsley and dill sprigs - for flavor. When everything is ready, we will take out these branches.
  7. We close the pots with lids, put them on a baking sheet and put them in an oven preheated to 200 degrees.
  8. After 15 minutes, lower the temperature to 160 degrees and leave it alone for another half hour. Accordingly, the total baking time is 45 minutes. For large pots, the time will have to be increased.
  9. I did not add any liquid to the pots. I wanted to get a baked dish, not a stew. Accordingly, no mixing of flavors occurred. Onions were not added for the same reason.
  10. It turned out exactly what I was trying to achieve. The vegetables and meat turned out to be baked and with beautiful ruddy sides. The prunes and garlic had time to steam, and the pineapple was dry enough.
