The Dagestan miracle pie can be cooked with different fillings, for example, with cheese and herbs.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Sift flour with a slide. Make a depression in the center, add 200 ml of salted water. Knead to a homogeneous dough. Leave, covered with a towel, for 30 minutes.
  2. For the cheese filling, grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Combine with curd, egg and finely chopped onion, sautéed in oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. For a "green" filling, chop the herbs. Toss with finely chopped onions, sautéed in oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Divide the dough into 90 g pieces, roll vigorously into thin cakes. Place the filling on half of each flatbread, cover with the other half and pinch the edges. Fry on both sides in a dry hot skillet. Transfer to a dish, generously greasing the miracle with ghee. Serve hot.
