Orange biscuits

The Jewish diaspora of Crete is considered one of the oldest in Greece. Jews appeared in Crete and Rhodes more than two thousand years ago and over the past 23 centuries have managed to be under the rule of various empires and peoples - from the Romans to the Turks.

Ingredients

• flour 1.5 kg
• butter 640 g
• sugar 375 g
• eggs 2 pcs.
• orange juice 1.5 tbsp
• cognac 0.5 tbsp.
• vanilla sugar sachet
• baking powder sachet

Directions

1. Grind butter and sugar, add eggs, orange juice and cognac. Mix flour with baking powder and combine with egg and sugar mixture.
2. Knead the dough, mold into thin sausages and form them into cookies. And then bake for 30 minutes. at a temperature of 180 degrees.
