Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Pour the onion into the pan, fry, stirring, for about 2 minutes. Add tomatoes, zucchini, bell pepper, garlic, 2 teaspoons salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper, cook, stirring, about 7 minutes, until slightly soft. Pour the cream over the vegetables, cook the sauce, stirring, for about 7 minutes. Then add cheese, zest and basil, mix, put out the fire under the pan.
Boil pasta in salted water until tender, according to package instructions.
Drain the pasta in a colander, let the water drain, and put it back into the pot in which it was cooked. Put the sauce from the pan into the pan, salt, pepper to taste, mix well.
Serve pasta in serving bowls, topped with extra cheese (optional).
