Stuffed peppers are a Soviet classic. It is found in Bulgarian, Moldavian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Azerbaijani cuisines. And in Russian, this recipe is also now indispensable. In our version, we make them with minced meat and rice, but you can play with any fillings.

  1. Finely chop the onion, grate the carrots. Fry half of the onions and carrots in a pan.
  2. Boil rice until half cooked, mix with minced meat and mix with fried carrots and onions. Salt and pepper everything.
  3. Cut off the top of the pepper and remove the seeds from it. Stuff the pepper with minced meat.
  4. Mix sour cream with tomato paste. Put the resulting mass on the bottom of the pan, add the remaining half of the grated carrots and onions - mix everything. Put the peppers on top and add water exactly to the height of half the pepper.
