The homemade birthday cake that I offer is quite simple to prepare and it turns out very tasty. The cake consists of poppy seeds and delicate custard. Poppy cake is always a hit with guests!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Let's prepare the necessary ingredients.
  2. Cream butter should be soft.
  3. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
  4. Cooking dough.
  5. Beat eggs with sugar until fluffy white mass.
  6. Melt butter and cool to room temperature. Then add the melted butter to the eggs and beat again.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients: flour, poppy seeds, vanillin.
  8. Gently stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients.
  9. We grease the detachable form with oil. We spread the dough in a mold and send it to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
  10. Cooking cream.
  11. Rub the yolks with sugar.
  12. Heat the milk until slightly warm and add to the yolks. Also add vanilla and flour. Stir so that there are no lumps. We put on fire. Stirring continuously, bring to a boil.
  13. Cool the finished custard to room temperature.
  14. We send softened butter into the cooled cream and beat with a mixer.
  15. We take the cooled cake out of the detachable form and cut it into two parts using a thread.
  16. We put one part of the cake in a detachable form.
  17. Lubricate the cake generously with cream. We spread the second part of the cake and also grease with cream. We leave a little cream to lubricate the sides of the cake.
  18. We cover the form with the cake with cling film and send it to the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, and preferably at night.
  19. We take the poppy seed cake out of the mold and grease the sides with cream.
  20. We decorate the poppy seed cake with custard at our discretion. I garnished with marmalade lemon wedges, raspberry jelly and poppy seeds.
  21. Enjoy your meal!
