This pot pie is a variation of a popular American dish. Yeast dough pie consists of several layers: the bottom layer, based on the dough - potatoes with herbs, baked in sour cream; top layer - minced meat fried with onions; between meat and potatoes - a layer of dough. The pie turns out to be very satisfying and can replace a whole dinner.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. The process of making pot-pie is quite long and you need to start it with making yeast dough. To do this, heat the milk a little, pour semolina into it, add yeast, salt and sugar, mix everything. Set aside the mixture for 20 minutes - the semolina should swell.
  2. After 20 minutes, melt the margarine.
  3. Add warm margarine, flour and an egg to the milk-yeast mixture, start stirring until a homogeneous dough is obtained, not very steep.
  4. Leave the dough for 1 hour in a warm place. In order to speed up the fermentation process, you can place the dough in a water bath.
  5. While the dough is coming up, you can start preparing the filling.
  6. Boil the potatoes, cut into small cubes, salt.
  7. Add sour cream, herbs and mix everything.
  8. Chop the onion finely, fry it a little and add the minced meat. Fry for 5 minutes.
  9. After the dough has doubled in volume, we divide it into two equal parts.
  10. We turn on the oven to heat up to 200 degrees.
  11. Roll out one part of the dough thinly and put it in a baking dish, pre-greased with margarine.
  12. Put the minced meat in a mold with dough, pepper, salt.
  13. Take the 2nd part of the dough, cut it in half. Roll one part into a circle along the diameter of the form.
  14. Cover the minced meat with rolled dough.
  15. Put the potatoes with sour cream on top of the dough.
  16. Roll out the third part of the dough and close the potatoes on top. We connect the edges of the dough.
  17. We put the pie in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, and bake until golden brown. When the cake is browned, we take it out, turn it upside down on a plate, grease the top with butter, cover and let it stand for 10 minutes.
  18. The pie is ready, bon appetit!
