A good dish for lovers of potatoes and cottage cheese. Juicy and tasty.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve or grind it in a meat grinder. Stir in softened butter until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Peel the potatoes and cut into very thin slices.
  3. Grease a deep baking dish with butter. Put a layer of potato circles on the bottom, salt and pepper. Spread a thin layer of curd mass on top.
  4. Continue to lay out the layers until all ingredients are gone. There should be potatoes on top. Choose a baking sheet very deep or do not fill it to the top. I made this mistake. During the baking process, a lot of liquid is released, then part of it evaporates, part is absorbed by the potatoes, but initially it begins to flow out of the sides of the baking sheet. I had to put it in another large baking sheet.
  5. Before you put the form in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, it must be tightly covered with foil. Bake for 1 hour.
  6. Grate hard cheese. Prepare the fill. Beat eggs with a fork, add sour cream, salt and pepper, add nutmeg or other favorite spices. Remove the foil from the mold and pour over the potatoes. Sprinkle with grated cheese on top. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes and leave the potato casserole for another 15 minutes in the turned off oven.
  7. Potato casserole with cottage cheese can be an independent dish or a side dish for meat dishes.
  8. Delicious with sour cream.
  9. Bon Appetit!
