Potato croquettes with cheese and green onions, with a golden crisp crust.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into 2-4 pieces and boil in salted water until tender, about 20 minutes.
  2. Mash the mashed potatoes, let cool completely.
  3. Prepare three plates. One with beaten eggs, one with flour and one with bread crumbs.
  4. Chop the green onion finely.
  5. Grate the cheese.
  6. Add cheese, green onions and black pepper to taste to the cooled potatoes.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Form the minced potatoes into balls about the same size as a chicken egg.
  9. Take one ball, flatten it into a round washer and roll in flour first.
  10. Then in the egg.
  11. And in breadcrumbs.
  12. If you cook right away, fry the potato croquettes in vegetable oil until golden brown on both sides.
  13. Or you can freeze potato croquettes with cheese for future use, and then take them out of the freezer and fry immediately.
  14. Serve hot potato croquettes with sour cream.
