Potato pie can be cooked without an oven or multicooker - in a pan, moreover, it is very simple and quick. This potato casserole is perfect as a nutritious snack or for breakfast for the whole family on a weekend - it is hearty and high-calorie, and also very tasty. And at the same time, cooking will take very, very little time.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wash the vegetables thoroughly and peel them.
  2. Cut the onions into small cubes. Chop the greens with a knife, setting aside a few leaves for serving. You can not add greens to the pie at all, but you can replace parsley with dill or thyme.
  3. Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater. Do not squeeze the juice.
  4. Combine grated potatoes, chopped onions and herbs in a deep bowl.
  5. To pour, mix 1 chicken egg and 1 egg white in another bowl (we don't need the yolk - use it for another dish). Add salt, black pepper and wheat flour. If you have any favorite potato spices, it's time to add them.
  6. Whisk the egg whisk and add to the bowl with the potatoes and onions. Stir again.
  7. Pour vegetable oil into a preheated non-stick skillet, then add the potato mixture and smooth well with the back of a spoon. Cover and grill over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
  8. Turn the potato pie over to the other side - this can be done using a flat plate similar in diameter to a pan. To do this, cover the pan with a plate and flip it over sharply, then slide the cake off the plate back onto the pan, uncooked. Cover the potato pie again and cook for another 10 minutes.
  9. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
  10. Then sprinkle the grated cheese on the pie. Turn off the heat, cover the pan with the lid again and leave the pie for another 5-7 minutes to melt the cheese.
  11. Remove the potato pie from the pan and garnish with parsley leaves if desired.
  12. Cut the pie into portions with a simple knife (or pizza knife) and serve.
  13. Such a simple potato pie is equally delicious both hot and cold - the potatoes are tender and soft inside, and the outside is covered with an appetizing crispy crust.
