The scones taste like our potato pies. You can add greens, fried onions, bacon, cheese to them.
Ingredients
Directions
Peel the potatoes and garlic, cut into cubes, leave the garlic whole and boil both products together in salted water until tender. Drain the water, add 2 tablespoons of milk, mash the potatoes in mashed potatoes. Cool to room temperature.
Separate the required amount of oil and put it in the freezer - this will make it easier to grate. In a separate bowl, mix sifted flour with salt and baking powder, grate chilled butter and rub into crumbs with your hands. Add mashed potatoes, stir. Then add additives as desired, I used only finely chopped greens. Knead the dough until it is smooth and homogeneous.
Divide the dough in two. Roll each into a cake about half a centimeter thick. Cut into segments, into eight pieces.
Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Serve hot, with sour cream or kefir, natural yogurt.
