Baked potatoes with onions and garlic - the recipe is useful when you need a side dish for fried meat, and just to eat delicious potatoes.

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Cut the onion into rings, chop the garlic thinly. Peel the potatoes and cut into 5 mm thick circles.
  2. Melt the butter in a large deep skillet (or cauldron). Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes (until tender).
  3. Add potatoes, garlic, pour in broth, salt and pepper, mix well. Cover and simmer for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Transfer the potatoes, onions and garlic to a flat baking dish and place in the oven for 40-50 minutes. Cooked baked potatoes with garlic and onions should be soft and almost liquid free.
