This layered salad with sprats, potatoes, pickles and olives is prepared without mayonnaise, but despite this, it turns out to be juicy and tasty. There is no secret, just the right ingredients. Oil-soaked sprats, cucumbers and spicy olives soak potatoes and completely eliminate the need for mayonnaise.

  1. Prepare foods according to the recipe list.
  2. It is best to boil the potatoes in advance, then it will take very little time to prepare the salad. Pour potatoes with cold water, put on the stove. After boiling, reduce heat to low and cook potatoes for 20-25 minutes, until soft. Remove the boiled potatoes from the broth and let it cool.
  3. Remove the sprats from the jar, shaking off the oil.
  4. Peel and grate the cooled boiled potatoes.
  5. Finely chop the sprats, leaving a couple of pieces whole (for decoration).
  6. Cut the edges of cucumbers on both sides. Grate cucumbers on a coarse grater.
  7. Chop the olives finely (into 8-12 pieces each).
  8. Place the culinary ring on the plate (mine is 8.5 cm in diameter).
  9. Put a third of the grated potatoes in the first layer of salad. Salt (carefully, take into account the salinity of sprat and canned cucumbers). Tamp with a spoon.
  10. Sprats over the potatoes.
  11. Then add a third of the potatoes again. Sprinkle with salt.
  12. The next layer is cucumbers.
  13. Place the remaining potatoes on top. Salt.
  14. The last layer is olives.
  15. Remove the culinary ring.
  16. Pour the salad with olive oil, garnish with dill. Top with a couple of whole sprats. Sprinkle sesame seeds on the salad.
