Just buy a good ready-made dough and make a quick apple pie according to our recipe, if loved ones ask you to bake something tasty, but you don't have the time and energy to make the dough. By the way, it is not as simple as it seems at first glance! Its “trick” is in the filling, where the acidity of slightly caramelized apples is set off by the delicate taste of butter. We also advise you to cut off a couple of thin strips of dough, make small decorations (leaves, flowers) out of them and decorate the cake before baking ("glue" it onto the yolk mixture and then grease it on top). It will turn out delicious and beautiful, and most importantly, a quick apple pie!

  1. Put the dough out of the packaging on a work surface and let it thaw completely at room temperature. Do not put the dough near a hot oven or on a heating radiator, otherwise the structure of the puff pastry will be disturbed.
  2. Prepare the filling for a quick apple pie. Peel the apples, cut into quarters and core with seeds. First cut the pulp into thin slices, then into small slices.
  3. Dissolve the butter in a skillet. Add the apples and stir-fry over medium heat for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar and keep on low heat for 8 minutes.
  4. Roll out the layers of dough on a floured surface. If the dough is on a roll, cut it in half and roll it out. Place one layer on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  5. Put warm, not hot, sugar-fried apples on a layer of dough and spread evenly with a spatula, 2 cm away from the edges.
  6. Cut the second layer of dough across with a sharp knife to make 4-5 parallel cuts 10-12 cm long at a distance of 2-3 cm from each other.
  7. Place the prepared layer of dough on the apples. Connect the edges of the dough and fasten tightly with your fingers or a fork so that the filling does not leak out when baking.
  8. Brush the top of the future quick apple pie with a brush with yolk, whipped with 1 tsp. water. Bake at 180 ° C for 12-15 minutes. Serve warm.
