Porridge is not the same. Despite the fact that the entire Soviet Union at the age of two to five was fed with semolina porridge, there was little sense from it - except that it was hearty. Semolina was made from completely refined grains - all the benefits of wheat remained in the bran. And the taste depended mainly on the amount of sugar and butter. Whole wheat semolina is now sold in health food stores - not the usual white, but dark cream. Porridge made from it - even without milk and butter - turns out to be very tasty. And if you add soy milk and such a mixture of dried apricots ...

Ingredients

Directions

  1. For "jam" finely chop dried apricots, fill with orange juice, leave for 20 minutes. Cut the lemon into small pieces, mix with dried apricots and orange peel. Grind into a paste with a blender or meat grinder. Add honey to taste if desired.
  2. For porridge, pour milk into a saucepan with a thick bottom, bring to a boil over low heat.
  3. Stirring so that no lumps form, pour in the semolina in a thin stream and cook, continuing to stir, until thickened, for 10-12 minutes or as indicated on the package. Add cinnamon to taste a couple of minutes until tender.
  4. Put the cooked porridge in warmed plates, season with nut butter. Serve with dried apricot jam.
