I myself did not expect it to be so tasty. Be sure to try! Shrimps in a creamy garlic sauce with cheese, cooked in this way, are very tender and appetizing. Instead of hard cheese, you can use one or two tablespoons of processed cheese.

  1. How to make shrimp in creamy garlic sauce with cheese? Defrost the shrimp first. Remove them in advance from the freezer and leave at room temperature until they are completely thawed. If the shrimp need to be thawed quickly, then fill them with cool water. What are the best shrimps to use? Royal or tiger clams are ideal, but regular clams can also be used.
  2. Place the shrimp on kitchen napkins to remove excess liquid.
  3. If you have shrimp with heads and shells, peel them. I used pre-peeled clams with tails. Be sure to remove the vena cava on the back of each shrimp. Peel the garlic and rinse in clean water.
  4. Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet. Send the shrimp to fry. Cook until they begin to curl into rings and turn reddish. Stir constantly to cook the shrimp evenly. I cooked for about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Add a pinch of salt, finely chopped garlic, ground black pepper and, if desired, ground paprika. On my own I added a pinch of nutmeg and coarsely ground hot red pepper. Stir, cook for a few seconds.
  6. Pour the cream into the pan, stir. At the time of boiling, reduce the flame to minimum and simmer the shrimp for about a minute.
  7. Sprinkle with grated hard cheese, stir. Leave until the cheese is melted. At this stage, you can use processed cheese instead of hard cheese.
  8. Finally, add finely chopped herbs to the pan. I had frozen spinach in my freezer, which I also added to shrimp. Parsley or dill are great.
  9. Shrimps in creamy sauce with cheese are ready! For a bright presentation, you can add very little red onions, cut into feathers or cubes, to the finished dish.
  10. Shrimps in a creamy garlic sauce with pasta or boiled rice are very tasty.
  11. Offer them as a separate dish with a glass of white wine.
