SPAGHETTI SHRIMP SAUCE

Spaghetti tastes twice as good with this sauce. Sauce with prawns, spicy garlic and Provencal herbs. Thick, with a delicate creamy taste, this sauce is as if made for spaghetti, cappellini or linguini. In any case, it will ideally complement any kind of pasta, which would not be chosen.

  1. The shrimp must be defrosted in the refrigerator overnight. By the way, this is the most gentle type of defrosting for any product, not just shrimp. Peel the shrimps from their heads and shells. I always rinse the already peeled shrimp with water to make sure there are no shell particles in the finished one.
  2. Peel two garlic cloves and crush them with the flat side of a knife. Be careful not to cut your hands on the blade.
  3. Heat a frying pan over high heat and pour in sunflower oil. Heat it well and reduce heat to medium. Put the garlic in the pan.
  4. Fry the garlic until golden brown on both sides. Then remove the garlic from the pan. It will no longer be needed, since it has already played its main role - to flavor the oil with its taste and aroma.
  5. Add peeled shrimps to the garlic oil. The oil will shoot a little, take care of your hands. Fry the shrimp for a couple of minutes.
  6. Pour heavy cream into a frying pan and mix the future sauce thoroughly. Simmer the creamy sauce over medium heat until the cream thickens a little. It took me about ten minutes to complete this stage. You do not need to cover the pan with a lid, as this will only prevent the moisture from evaporating.
  7. At the end of cooking, season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste and add dried Italian herbs. As a rule, they are composed of: spicy basil, bright rosemary and aromatic marjoram. Stir the sauce, let it brew for five minutes under a closed lid. Then the shrimp sauce is ready to serve.
  8. In order for the shrimp sauce to be ready at the same time as the spaghetti, I put a saucepan of water for them to boil in the nasal of step 6.
  9. When serving, spaghetti should be placed on a nest-shaped plate, top with hot shrimp sauce and sprinkle with a little spicy cheese. I got some parmesan in my fridge.
