One of the most popular first courses in Italy is spaghetti with garlic and butter. It is a simple and quick dish that can be served as a side dish or as an independent light dish.

  1. Boil the spaghetti until "al dente" (1-2 minutes less than indicated on the packaging so that the spaghetti remains slightly hard and not boiled) and put it in a colander, but leave about 100 ml of water in which the spaghetti was cooked.
  2. Preheat a frying pan, pour oil into it.
  3. Throw finely chopped garlic into hot oil.
  4. After a minute, add some fresh parsley to the pan.
  5. When the garlic is fried until golden brown and smells pungently, add boiled spaghetti to the pan.
  6. Add a little oil and water, in which the spaghetti was cooked. Stir and cook until the liquid evaporates.
  7. Remove from heat and serve. Spaghetti with garlic and butter are ready!
