Spaghetti with sweet peppers in tomato sauce is a simple and tasty side dish option. Sweetish pepper not only harmonizes perfectly with the sourness of tomatoes, but also saturates the sauce with an amazing aroma. The sauce significantly enriches the taste of boiled spaghetti, making it more intense.

  2. Tomatoes are important to choose juicy, ripe and fleshy.
  3. Wash tomatoes. From above, make cross-shaped cuts on the tomatoes, send them to a deep bowl.
  4. Pour the tomatoes with boiling water and leave for 5 minutes.
  5. After a while, remove the tomatoes from the water and remove the skin.
  6. Cut the tomatoes into random pieces and transfer to a blender with a knife attachment.
  7. Grind tomatoes until smooth.
  8. Peel, rinse and cut the sweet pepper into long strips, not too narrow.
  9. Cut the peeled garlic into thin slices.
  10. Pour oil into a heated frying pan, put garlic and sweet pepper. Fry for 5-7 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  11. Add tomato puree, sugar, paprika, nutmeg and ground pepper.
  12. Mix everything and simmer covered over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
  13. Meanwhile, pour water (1.5 l) into a saucepan, bring to a boil and salt (0.5 teaspoon). Send spaghetti to boiling water and cook for 4-5 minutes after boiling again, until al dente (minus 1-2 minutes from the time indicated on the package). After a while, drain the water.
  14. Transfer the spaghetti to the pan with the sauce.
  15. Finely chop the parsley and add to the spaghetti with sweet pepper. Mix. Warm up the pasta for 2-3 minutes.
  16. Spaghetti with sweet peppers in tomato sauce, serve immediately.
