This method of cooking shrimp is ideal for a small group of people who are going to watch a football match. Naturally, they need to be served with good beer (or should they be served with beer?) And a lot of crispy baguette toasts.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. If the shrimp are frozen, defrost them in advance on the top shelf of the refrigerator in a colander in a bowl. Peel the shrimp from the shell, remove the dark intestinal vein. Pepper, cover with beer and leave for 30 minutes.
  2. For the sauce, finely chop the onion, garlic, gherkins and parsley. Chop the capers not too finely. Combine all ingredients and season with cayenne pepper to taste. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until used.
  3. Cut the celery into thin slices, the onion into thin half rings, and the lemon into circles. Place the chopped food in a double boiler and place the shrimp on top.
  4. Pour the shrimp beer over the contents of the steamer so that it flows downward. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Add the required amount of water to the beer. Cook the shrimp for 7-10 minutes, turning once.
  5. Serve hot with cold sauce. The vegetables and lemon mugs on which the shrimp were cooked can be served or not - at your discretion.
