SQUID STUFFED WITH RICE IN THE OVEN

An original dish, maybe an appetizer or hot! Cooking stuffed squid is quick and easy. The dish turns out to be light and tender. They can diversify both the daily menu and the festive table.

  1. Let's prepare the products. Rice is better to take unboiled round grain. Look at the number of eggs and rice by the size of the squid, I got small ones, the filling remained. Pre-defrost squids in natural conditions.
  2. Remove the top film from the squid. A very easy way to do this is to immerse them in boiling water for a minute. The skin will curl up from this, it remains only to rinse them under water.
  3. You also need to remove the plates and entrails.
  4. Rinse the rice and boil in slightly salted water until tender. We put it in a colander and rinse with cold water. Cool it down.
  5. We wash the greens well, dry them and chop them.
  6. Boil three eggs, cool, clean and finely chop.
  7. For the filling, mix rice, boiled eggs, herbs, drive in the remaining raw egg, salt and add spices. If you salted rice, add very little salt. Mix well.
  8. We start the squid with rice. this must be done carefully in order to tear the thin skin of the mollusk.
  9. We put the stuffed squid in a baking dish. Pour in a little water, just to have a thin layer at the bottom. Lubricate with sour cream on top.
  10. We bake the squid in the oven at 230 degrees for about 30 minutes. Bon Appetit!
  11. The squids turned out to be soft, not at all rubbery. They ate them both hot and cold. Delicious in both!
  12. When served cold, it is best to cut each squid into circles.
  13. You can put any vegetables in the filling. Carrots with onions, they must first be fried until tender. Bell peppers - both as a single ingredient and in addition to others.
  14. Squid stuffed with cabbage will be an excellent lean dish. Add other vegetables to the cabbage - onions, carrots, peppers.
  15. Instead of eggs, you can put mushrooms. They are also pre-fried with onions.
  16. You can use minced fish as minced meat, also mixing it with rice.
  17. Squids are also baked under mayonnaise, you can sprinkle them with cheese on top.
