Step-by-step recipe for lemonade with strawberries

Strawberries and basil give a very good combination of flavors to the drink. If you use purple basil in the recipe, the color of the lemonade will be more intense.

Ingredients

• 1.2 liters of water;
• 600 g of strawberries;
• a bunch of fresh basil;
• 140 g of granulated sugar;
• ice cubes.

Directions

1. Boil sugar syrup with sugar and 200 ml of water.
2. Mash the basil in a mortar so that the leaves let a little juice. Add to warm but not hot syrup (if it is hot - basil will give bitterness to lemonade). Leave to infuse for 2 hours, then strain.
3. Beat the strawberries in a blender into a puree. Add basil infusion. Add cold carbonated water to taste.
