Tomatoes stuffed with meat and rice

  1. For stuffing, you need to take medium-sized tomatoes. Wash them in cold water, cut off the tops and carefully remove the core with seeds, without breaking the intactness of the tomatoes.
  2. Salt prepared tomatoes, sprinkle with pepper and fill with minced meat.
  3. To prepare the minced meat, finely chop or mince the meat, add cooked crumbly rice, finely chopped fried onions, salt and pepper.
  4. Put the tomatoes filled with minced meat in a greased frying pan; you can sprinkle them with grated cheese. Then drizzle with oil and bake in the oven (15–20 minutes).
  5. Transfer the prepared tomatoes to a dish, pour over with sour cream sauce and sprinkle with parsley or dill.
