The turkey and potato flavors traditionally go well with each other, and the béchamel sauce keeps the dish juicy, adding a milky-cheese flavor to the flavor. Several preparatory steps, laying out the ingredients in layers, and sending the dish to bake in the oven. A delicious lunch or dinner for your family - poultry and side dish cooked in one dish.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. We put a pot of water on the fire in order to boil the potatoes.
  2. Wash the turkey and cut into thin slices and beat lightly.
  3. Parmesan (or any other cheese with similar taste and physical properties) is grated on a fine grater.
  4. Cut the potatoes into thin slices.
  5. Dip the potatoes in boiling salted water and cook for 1 minute after boiling again.
  6. We put the potatoes in a colander and let the liquid drain.
  7. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
  8. Let's prepare the ingredients for the sauce.
  9. Grate the mozzarella.
  10. Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan or saucepan.
  11. Pour flour into the butter and, stirring with a whisk, heat over low heat for 1-2 minutes.
  12. Pour milk into a saucepan in small portions, stirring constantly so that there are no lumps. Cook the sauce for 5-7 minutes, until thickened.
  13. Salt, pepper the sauce, add nutmeg and stir. Remove the sauce from the heat.
  14. Add mozzarella to the sauce and stir until the cheese is completely dissolved in the sauce.
  15. Put half the turkey on the bottom of the baking dish (I have a 20x25 cm dish), salt and pepper to taste.
  16. Pour 1/4 of the sauce over the turkey.
  17. We spread a layer of potatoes (half). Salt and pepper a little.
  18. Also pour with the fourth part of the sauce.
  19. Next, we also repeat the layer of turkey and potatoes with sauce.
  20. We close the form with foil and send it to the oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
  21. Take the mold out of the oven, remove the foil and sprinkle with Parmesan.
  22. Put it in the oven again (without foil) for 20-25 minutes. The cheese and sauce will brown on top.
  23. We take out the form from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  24. The dish comes out tender and very juicy, it does not hold its shape like casseroles. We put it on the plates with a spoon.
  25. Serve the turkey with potatoes to the table, garnish with chopped fresh herbs.
  26. Enjoy your meal!
