6 Home Remedies for Laryngitis

1) Warm saltwater

Many people complain of an unpleasant sore throat due to laryngitis. These can be combated with the help of warm saltwater. It promotes the healing process while relieving pain. The salt focuses the bacteria and the water helps soothe the throat. Only 1 teaspoon of salt and warm water is required for the preparation. Then mix both ingredients in a cup and drink several times a day.

2) Apple cider vinegar

Another home remedy for laryngitis is apple cider vinegar. It has microbial properties that help fight and treat infections. They also help to alleviate symptoms and, like salt, focus on viruses and bacteria. You will need 2 tablespoons of raw and unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon of raw honey. Then mix both with water in a cup. Temperature doesn’t matter here. The apple cider vinegar should be drunk at least twice a day for 2 weeks. If you want to increase the effectiveness, you can add a little cayenne pepper. You can also gargle with an apple cider vinegar mixture. Put 1 tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm water and you’re done.

3) Honey

As already mentioned with apple cider vinegar, honey also helps to combat laryngitis. Honey also soothes and soothes irritation in the throat. The honey itself fights inflammation and bacteria. A sore throat can be relieved by sucking honey daily. It is also possible to drink the honey in combination with warm lemon water. Lemon water is a good anti-phlegm remedy and fights bacteria and viruses. For this purpose, 1 or 2 tablespoons of honey are mixed with squeezed lemon juice. It is best to take it at least twice a day for 2 weeks.

4) Garlic

It also protects the body from further infections. For this home remedy, peel a clove of garlic and chew or swallow slowly. The process is carried out 2 times a day for 2 weeks. Alternatively, a garlic mixture can be used. 4 cloves of garlic are finely chopped and then placed in a mason jar. The garlic pieces must then be covered with distilled water and apple cider vinegar, then close the jar and shake well. The mixture should be allowed to steep for about 4 hours. Then add 2 tablespoons of honey. The home remedy is now in the fridge. Affected people can take 1 to 3 teaspoons every 6 to 8 hours and suck slowly.

5) Ginger

Fresh ginger soothes inflamed mucous membranes and soothes a sore throat. You will need 1 teaspoon of ginger and a cup of hot boiled water. After adding the ginger, let it steep for about 10 minutes. Honey is recommended for a more intense taste. Alternatively, you can suck ginger.

6) Onion Syrup
