The dough for chocolate muffins according to this recipe is prepared on sour cream, with cocoa powder. Chocolate muffins go great with canned cherries and buttercream.

  1. For baking muffins, I used old metal molds. For convenience, that is, in order not to wash the molds later, I cover them with special paper baskets.
  2. In order to adapt the baskets to my molds, I press each paper basket laid on the bottom of the iron mold from above with the next iron mold.
  3. Cooking dough for cupcakes. Pour sugar, salt and eggs into a bowl. Beat a little with a mixer or whisk. Beat just a little, just so that the eggs combine with the sugar and foam a little.
  4. Now add sour cream and soft butter. We mix.
  5. Sift in flour, cocoa and baking powder. Mix again.
  6. You should get a thick dough.
  7. In each mold we put 1 tbsp. a spoonful of dough. And in the middle, I added canned pitted cherries - 1-2 berries on the bottom and 1 berry on top. (Instead of cherries, you can take any canned or fresh berries or fruits. Or you can do without them.)
  8. We put muffins with cherries to bake, at 170-180 degrees it will take about 25-30 minutes. It all depends on the features of your oven and the size of the molds. By the way, you can make one big cupcake.
  9. Let the cupcakes cool down and eat.
  10. To decorate muffins with cherries, you can sprinkle them with powdered sugar, cocoa or decorate with cream.
