Carrot cake with sour cream custard

According to this recipe, carrot cake turns out to be very tasty and unusual, as it has an orange flavor. The cakes themselves are prepared carrot, while one of them still turns out to be chocolate, and the second is light.

Ingredients

  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat them at high speed of the mixer for 30 seconds.
  2. Then add sugar, salt and vanilla sugar.
  3. Continue beating for another 2-4 minutes.
  4. Melt the butter, let it cool for a minute, and then pour it into the egg mass. Pour vegetable oil into it as well. Mix.
  5. Add the grated orange zest to the batter.
  6. Then add grated carrots, nutmeg. Mix.
  7. Add flour with baking powder.
  8. Mix again.
  9. Pour half of the dough into a mold (diameter 24 cm), which is greased with vegetable oil.
  10. Send the form with the dough to the oven preheated to 190 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  11. Add cocoa to the second part of the dough. Mix.
  12. Bake the second cake in the same way.
  13. To prepare the cream, combine sour cream, egg, flour, sugar and vanilla sugar.
  14. Put the pan on a slow fire and, with constant stirring, brew the cream until thick. In time, it will take 5-8 minutes. Cool the cream until warm.
  15. Put soft butter in a bowl, add 20 grams of custard. Beat with a mixer. After that, add the rest of the custard and beat the cream again with a mixer for 20 seconds.
  16. Ready cream smear the first light cake.
  17. Place the second chocolate layer on top.
  18. Grease it on top, then grease the sides of the cake with the rest of the cream.
  19. Decorate the cake as you wish. As a decoration, I used colored sugar and a mastic flower.
