Chicken at Sunset with Rice

Chicken at Sunset with Rice

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Rub the chicken breasts with the salt and pepper mixture.
  2. Heat vegetable oil over a fire in a deep frying pan, fry the breast until golden brown.
  3. Transfer the fried chicken to a plate.
  4. Leave 2 tablespoons of fat in the pan in which the chicken was fried.
  5. Add the garlic and turmeric to it and stir for about 6 minutes, until the mixture turns golden.
  6. Add white wine, bring to a boil.
  7. Add broth, tomato paste, bay leaf.
  8. Return the chicken to the pan.
  9. Add peas and rice.
  10. Shake the pan to distribute all the ingredients evenly throughout the pan.
  11. Bring to a boil.
  12. Reduce the heat.
  13. Cover the pan with a lid.
  14. Simmer until rice is tender, about 25-30 minutes.
  15. Remove skillet from heat.
  16. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
