Chicken with potatoes already sounds appetizing, and if you diversify the baked chicken with potatoes in the manner of a Greek salad, it will turn out very elegant and, moreover, simple and tasty.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  2. Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes about 3 cm in size.
  3. Cut the onion into strips. (There is no onion in the original recipe, and if you don't like onions, you can safely skip them.)
  4. Add onion, salt, pepper, half a teaspoon of turmeric to the potatoes to give the potatoes a beautiful color. Pour in some vegetable oil. Stir.
  5. Cut the bacon into thin slices or strips. (This dish can be cooked without bacon. I, for example, do not eat it in this dish, I just love the flavor it gives.)
  6. I used chicken thighs for this dish, but you can also use cut chicken.
  7. Add salt, pepper and any seasoning of your choice to the chicken (I added half a teaspoon of ground cumin). Mix well, grate the meat.
  8. Cover the baking sheet with foil, evenly distribute the potatoes and onions on the baking sheet.
  9. Spread the bacon in any order.
  10. Add chicken.
  11. Send the potatoes with chicken to the oven preheated to 200 ° C for half an hour. During this time, open the oven once and stir the potatoes.
  12. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Cut regular tomatoes into fairly large cubes.
  13. Cut the feta into cubes.
  14. Remove the chicken and potatoes from the oven, top with cheese, olives, tomatoes. Return the chicken and potatoes to the oven and bake until the potatoes are done (it took me 18 minutes).
  15. You can, when the potatoes are almost ready, cover the baking sheet with foil, turn off the heat and leave the dish in the cooling oven for 20 minutes.
  16. Sprinkle the finished dish with chopped garlic and herbs (optional).
  17. Bon Appetit!
